Coriolanus Snow, a young teen, felt trapped in the middle of the suffering. To escape the daily struggle for food and survival, he joined several peers as the first mentors in a new political ploy: The Hunger Games.

However, the games don’t go as planned, especially as Coriolanus Snow begins forming an attachment to his attractive and eccentric tribute.

Will Coriolanus Snow let his heart win and fight for what’s right, or will the evil lurking inside him control his actions?

Let the games begin, and may the odds be ever in your favor!

Reviewer Comments:

I recommend this book for older teens and adults. It explores some very difficult subjects, such as good and evil. All the characters don’t make the right choices, leading to violent and emotionally upsetting situations. The book can be especially upsetting for young readers as children suffer and die.

However, the message of the book is an important one to understand. It’s about political power and inequality in society. It also explores how easily a society can accept violence as normal and even entertaining.
