You may have heard me mention “Bookstagram” several times in past posts. But what IS bookstagram?
Dive into what exactly bookstagram is, plus some great clean book accounts and hashtags you should consider following.
Let’s get started!
What Is Bookstagram?
A bookstagram is an Instagram account covering book-related topics. While the phrase began on Instagram, you may also see it used in other spaces, like in bookstores.
A related term is “booktok.” Just like bookstagram refers to the book side of Instagram, booktok relates to book-centered TikTok accounts.
Bookstagram accounts share a variety of fun and engaging content, including:
- Book recommendations
- Book memes
- Fan theories
- Book-related gifts
- Fan art
- Book scene reenactments
- Book quizzes (like seeing which character you’re most like in your favorite novel)
- And so much more!
A small confession, I find most of my content for this blog from bookstagram, including book recommendations I’ve added to my TBR, and you’ll see pop up later as a review.
